New startup lab VentureBox launches in Bend with 7 Oregon companies

VentureBox, a new startup incubator launching next month in Bend, has announced its first class of seven companies. Most are concentrated in online and mobile technoligies.

The startup lab will guide entrepreneurs through a 12-week series of classes, much like its Portland counterparts that gained attention when they graduated their first class of startups in recent months.

"It really has gathered the community spirit around it," said VentureBox executive director Jim Boeddeker, who's launched a trio of tech startups.
